We develop your documented BCP: disaster scenarios, activation procedures, roles and responsibilities, contact lists, alternate work sites. A living plan, updated annually and communicated to the entire team.
Backup and Recovery Infrastructure
Implementation of reliable backup architecture: incremental backups, differentiated retention policies, geographically remote backup site. Integration with cloud (Azure, AWS) for cost-effective cloud-based disaster recovery.
Data Replication and Automatic Failover
Configuration of synchronous/asynchronous replication for critical databases, VM replication with Azure Site Recovery, and automatic failover to reduce RTO. Tested in pre-prod environments before production.
Disaster Recovery Testing
Regular tests (at least 2x/year): simulated failovers, RTO/RPO verification, team training, documentation of results. This is not an exercise: it's validation that your plan works when it really matters.

Understanding RPO and RTO
Two fundamental concepts in BC/DR:
RPO (Recovery Point Objective)
How much data loss can you tolerate? If disaster strikes at noon and your RPO is 1 hour, you accept losing the last 60 minutes of data. Lower RPO requires more frequent backups (higher cost).
RTO (Recovery Time Objective)
How long can you be down? If your RTO is 4 hours, you must restore critical systems within 4 hours of disaster. Low RTO requires redundant infrastructure (higher cost).
