Why choose
Dell PowerEdge.

Dell PowerEdge servers are the world's most widely deployed server platform. For an SMB, this means proven reliability, global Dell support and a remote management ecosystem (iDRAC) that lets our NOC intervene without ever setting foot in your server room.

The problem isn't buying a server — it's buying the right one. Too often we see SMBs with over-provisioned servers (overpaid) or under-provisioned ones (already maxed out). We start from your actual workloads and size the correct configuration.

The PowerEdge range

Every business needs a different server. From single-server SMBs to companies with dedicated racks, Dell PowerEdge covers every need with four product families.

01

PowerEdge Tower (T-series)

The ideal server for SMBs without a rack or dedicated server room. Quiet, compact, it fits under a desk or in a closet. Perfect as a first business server or for remote offices.

  • Intel Xeon up to 2 processors
  • Quiet for office environments
  • Expandable with hot-swap drives
02

PowerEdge Rack (R-series)

For those with a server room or rack cabinet. Maximum compute density in 1U or 2U format, with full redundancy on power, fans and storage. The standard choice for virtualisation and critical applications.

  • 1U and 2U rack-mount format
  • Redundant power and fans
  • Optimised for VMware and Hyper-V
03

Dell PowerVault Storage

When the server's internal storage is not enough. PowerVault provides shared SAN and NAS storage for virtualised environments, local backup and high-capacity archives. It integrates natively with PowerEdge servers.

  • SAN iSCSI and NAS storage
  • Expansion up to hundreds of TB
  • Ideal for backup and virtualisation
04

iDRAC: remote management

Every PowerEdge server includes iDRAC (integrated Dell Remote Access Controller): a remote management console that lets our NOC monitor hardware, update firmware and diagnose problems without physically touching the server.

  • Built-in remote KVM console
  • Automated firmware updates
  • Proactive alerts on disks, RAM, CPU

Not just sales:
full management.

Buying a server online is easy. Sizing it correctly, installing it, configuring it for virtualisation, integrating it with backup and monitoring it 24/7 is another matter. Here is what we do that an online reseller does not.

10punto10 manages the entire server lifecycle: from initial sizing to decommissioning, through installation, migration, proactive monitoring and Dell warranty management.

Your servers
always under control

NEXUS shows you the status of all your Dell servers in real time: CPU, RAM, storage, temperature, RAID disk status. If a disk shows signs of failure, the NOC steps in before the fault occurs thanks to iDRAC predictive alerts.

Monthly reports with uptime, performance, remaining capacity and recommendations to plan upgrades before they become emergencies.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a Tower and a Rack server?
A Tower server (T-series) is a vertical format similar to a desktop PC, quiet and suitable for offices without a rack. A Rack server (R-series) is a horizontal format that mounts in a standard 19" rack cabinet, ideal when you have multiple servers or a dedicated server room. Performance can be identical — only the physical form factor changes.
How long does a Dell PowerEdge server last?
A PowerEdge server has an average operational life of 5–7 years. Dell offers ProSupport warranties up to 5 years with next-business-day on-site intervention. After 5 years we recommend planning a replacement: maintenance costs rise and performance cannot keep up with modern workloads. We help you plan the technology refresh in advance.
Can I run virtualisation on a Dell PowerEdge server?
Absolutely. PowerEdge servers are certified for VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V and Proxmox. For a typical SMB, a single R-series server with 128–256 GB of RAM can host 10–20 virtual machines. We handle the hypervisor configuration, migration of existing VMs and ongoing monitoring.
What is iDRAC and why does it matter?
iDRAC (integrated Dell Remote Access Controller) is a remote management chip built into every PowerEdge server. It allows remote access to the server even when the operating system is unresponsive, firmware updates, hardware health monitoring and predictive failure alerts. For our NOC it is essential: we can resolve most issues without physical intervention.
How much does a Dell PowerEdge server cost for an SMB?
An entry-level Tower server starts at around €2,000–3,000 for a basic configuration. A Rack server for virtualisation with 128 GB of RAM and redundant storage sits between €5,000 and €10,000. But hardware cost is only part of the picture: incorrect sizing, downtime and lack of maintenance cost far more. We provide a free needs assessment.
